Actually, in the DGM chan the other day, I was talking to Chizu-nee about how Devit hadn't actually missed her or cared that she was in a coma, even though he likes her in his way. He would have started missing her in a distant way, like a few weeks from now, when he thought about her delicious muffins or something, but not in a personal "I wonder how she's doing I hope she's okay" way. So I was trying to think about people in camp that Devit would actually NOTICE THE ABSENCE OF and actively miss and want to see again. Not including Jasdero, it's really only Hakuren and Mika, but Teito is--right up there. HE'S CLOSE. He will probably fall into that category after a few more threads.

It's weird because Devit still has some of the same awkwardness around Teito that he did before, and for the same reasons! Devit IS MEAN, even to people he likes. And Teito IS DAMAGED. And also Hakuren is super gay for him and all. So Devit doesn't want to piss Teito off because if they fought and Hakuren took Teito's side, Devit might fly off the handle, and he knows it. He wants to be CAREFUL around Teito because he can't get away with like . . . I mean with Mika they fight, they call each other perverts and wrestle and yell and kick each other in the balls and they're fine. And with Hakuren they bicker constantly and smack each other and get in the occasional screaming fight and they still love each other. But Devit feels like that's Not Okay with Teito. He feels like he should be careful about not "bugging" him, which is a really weird feeling for Devit, who doesn't care about that stuff.

SO THAT PART'S KIND OF THE SAME. But since then, Teito's also JESUSED DEVIT SOME and it's affected him, sob sotopped. As a rule Jesusing doesn't work on Noahs, and when Teito says things like "I see a light inside of you," Devit . . . honestly doesn't understand what he means. That was said under the effect of the truth post, so Devit doesn't think Teito is lying to him, which is important! But he thinks Teito might be confused or mistaken. (It's the same way he believes that Hakuren BELIEVES he will never hate Devit, but he doesn't believe Hakuren really WILL never hate Devit.) STILL. After the birthday cake incident, and after the truth post, Devit trusts Teito in a way he doesn't afford most humans. And he . . . cares what Teito thinks of him for reasons other than just "We should get along so that Hakuren doesn't choose him over me," which is how it was before.

Devit does LIKE Teito, to the point of being kind of topped by him SOMETIMES and of having those (totally platonic) dokidoki moments when Teito gets all earnest and "DEVIT I LIKE YOU!" |D He likes Teito outside of being an extension of Hakuren now! If Hakuren left camp or something Devit would come to Teito to talk. And it would probably end up in a fight but. He'd come, okay. ;o; He just doesn't quite understand yet how to be Teito's friend, because Devit is incapable of Jesusing; he either speaks his mind bluntly and sometimes cruelly, or he can't talk about subjects he disagrees with someone on. Hakuren has the patience to deal with this but Devit doesn't think Teito does, and he doesn't want Teito to hate him because Teito liking him makes him feel good and kind of funny inside sometimes. :(

It's not so much lack of patience as getting frustrated. :( And Teito knows getting frustrated is his problem, so no he won't hate Devit unless Devit goes and hurts someone really bad. BUT DEVIT DOESN'T KNOW THAT and they're not...exactly at the point where Teito will tell Devit his feelings freely! Which is actually funnily enough a parallel with Hakuren, because Hakuren is Teito's BFFL! But he also knows Hakuren needs to grow some before he tells Hakuren certain things. :x And Hakuren admitted it too so it's all good. And for Teito that's... basically the same case with Devit! He likes Devit and they're sort of strange friends and really they should just get into a cat fight someday because Teito is very physical and once they fight it'd be all good and not so weird. But until Devit grows some more (a-and he has a longer way to grow than Hakuren) their friendship will probably stay in the weird zone because Teito is... he's a private person for the most part and he feels if he tells Devit his opinions they'd just disagree or be dismissed and stuff and it'll be all for nothing :/. Kind of like how Hakuren sometimes dismisses Teito's actions/thoughts as 'You're such a troublesome guy' because Hakuren hasn't...grown enough? To understand it, in Teito's mind.

SO YEAH fun parallels let me show you them.

WELL OBVIOUSLY IT'S NOT REALLY HAVING A GREAT EFFECT ON HIM BUT. XD Hyuuga hasn't decided what to think yet. It's BAD because Teito has strong allies and all but on the other hand they're not trying to kill him yet anyway, and they can keep an eye on him here, and it's possible information will become available, and so on. Aya-tan being trapped somewhere is distressing and! Basically, Hyuuga worries a lot more about camp's emotional effect on Ayanami than its effect on their plans and strategy. He trusts that that kind of thing will work out, that Ayanami can MAKE it work out and possibly even to their advantage, and if not, that they'll survive it and turn the tables once they're back home. But he worries about Ayanami's mental health like always, fussing over him and his nightmares and stress and so on. While Hyuuga hopes that camp will have a positive social effect on Konatsu, he knows damn well that's just not possible for Aya-tan. So yeah he mostly wants to keep him sane and comforted as much as possible and let the strategy stuff get worked out as it comes.

...haha THE THING IS that just... Ayanami really hates the situation in camp. I mean, he's pretty sure he can AT LEAST keep things the way they are and suffer no real setbacks, just pick things up where he left up back home. Maybe if he's fortunate he might manage to get the information he wants out of Teito before then and can just skip straight to going after that when he leaves camp (...lol) but yeah. While he's FRUSTRATED at being at a standstill, ultimately... he can wait. He's capable of being patient when he wants to, and after who knows how long, a little longer isn't going to do any harm, as irritating as it is.

However! He absolutely hates being trapped and relatively powerless and so on. Especially being humiliated, as camp is wont to do. And to make it worse, he can't even permanently dispose of those who irritate him, and he's trapped whether he thinks about/admits it or not, and... yeah. AYANAMI IS NOT IN A HAPPY PLACE not that he ever really is normally but this is whole degrees worse and he hates it. It hits on SO many of his big issues- being trapped, being powerless, having his pride trampled on- just by EXISTING and he just generally does not want.

SO BASICALLY Ayanami is pretty cool and confident with things regarding his grand plans, it's just everything else that gets to him. :|

Hyuuga is upset that Konatsu was involved and affected. He didn't care much about them prior to that, because Hyuuga in his way is almost as bad as Devit when it comes to . . . I'm not sure what to call it, but MASS SYMPATHY? On a personal level Hyuuga genuinely likes people and loves his friends and can be helpful (when he wants to be) and cares about their wellbeing and growth and all. But on a like, "bad things are happening to lots of people I barely know" level, Hyuuga has a very low level of caring, right down there with Devit's complete lack of interest. XD His concern is his People. And then Konatsu was involved and Hyuuga, he didn't show much reaction, and indeed his reaction wasn't as deep as a normal person would feel, but he was upset and missed Konatsu and yeah. |< BUT--he was also pretty confident that the danger would be overcome. It didn't REALLY occur to him that Konatsu might never come back. He knew it would be resolved and he had faith in Konatsu. So while he was troubled and sad and felt kind of tender about it, he didn't lose much sleep. He may have if Konatsu had been coma'd on like day 1. XD


Uh omg your second question is. Hard. I-I. I can't even think of . . . okay, he wouldn't kill himself or die for anyone for money. He wouldn't do like. Scat. Or anything like that lol. He wouldn't have sex in public. I am honestly unsure if he would kill Colonello for money.

1. LEARN ABOUT THE INTERNET! He loves the Internet. I need to have him learn more about it so he can finish his website with Shuri and steal Ayatan's laptop. But offscreen he dicks around online a lot.

2. He wants to learn about this world's popular music actually. That's another post I am doing with him soon. MAYBE THIS WEEKEND. My headcanon is that Hyuuga loves to sing and if karaoke exists in 07-Ghost world (I'm not sure) he loves it and drags the Black Hawks there sometimes. So he wants to download a bunch of music and karaoke here and annoy people with it in the shower and all. He's the kind of guy who would learn a Britney song and sing it in a falsetto in the shower.

3. Kiss Ayanami at some point. This totally counts as fun. And he feels like camp is the best opportunity he will ever get.

4. Set Konatsu up on a blind date, possibly. 8D

5. GENERALLY MEET LOTS OF PEOPLE AND ANNOY THEM AND AVOID DOING HIS WORK LIKE A TOOL

MIKAGE IS WEEEEEIRD. IN some ways Devit relates to him more than to Teito or Hakuren. Mikage has hormones and looks at porn (or did) and is much more of like, A NORMAL TEENAGE GUY. But on the other hand he's . . . not. He doesn't believe in revenge!!!1 It's weird for Devit because . . . Devit is used to relationships that are tinged with antagonism. And he's never felt that way towards Mikage. Mikage is cool and outgoing and friendly and understanding and a little bit Jesusy but not in a preachy or annoying way. So Devit doesn't. Register him as much. He thrives on hate. XD Or at least bitchy bickering. So Devit likes Mikage and feels sorry for him for having a PRUDE BOYFRIEND! and in some ways understands him, but in some ways Mikage is off the radar; Devit doesn't care as much about people who don't fuck with him and whom he doesn't fuck with in turn. HE LOVES HAKUREN BECAUSE HE ONCE HATED HAKUREN.

So basically if Mikage teased and fucked with him more and Devit spazzed and bitched about it, they would get closer |D

BUT Mikage gets bonus points for 1. being Burupya and 2. liking Jasdero and being Jasdero's friend, which is like, THE FASTEST WAY TO GET DEVIT TO LOVE YOU EVER.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PAST NEAR AND MELLO AND CHISAME. But assuming it's nothing, the run-down is this: Mello and Chisame met and hit it off through a lot of weirdness and antagonism and bonding and desperation and Chisame fell in love with him. Mello WAS STAUNCHLY HOMOSEXUAL so nothing happened; she confessed so he knew about it but yeah. Also Mello hooked up with Near. And Chisame hooked up with Chizuru! Near and Chisame didn't get along as well and Chisame was kind of jealous because she still loved Mello and all. SLOWLY they warmed up to each other and Near respected her and they ended up close friends. And SURPRISE Chisame developed a thing for Near too. Not as powerful as her thing for Mello but she loved him a lot as a friend, one of her best in camp, and she was kinda attracted to him too (a-against all odds). But YEAH CHIZURU, and none of them were about to cheat on any of the others, so! Eventually Mello left, and then Near aged up, and then Near left, and they've sent her Christmas letters and gifts, and since then Chisame has kind of dreaded either of them ever coming back because she was terrified they wouldn't remember her and she'd break down crying and so on.

THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN, NEAR |D

NEAR CAME BACK AFTER LIKE TWO YEARS AWAY, and Chisame was kind of "y5ugyhi" and then she realized he didn't remember her and she had her moment of "96i7hjoik!!!" But--it was Near, and not Mello. The attachment hadn't been AS strong, although it was strong. Chisame kind of decided "Well, it's Near, he's socially inept and weird and kind of a dick and I love him anyway but I'm not going to try and get close to him, I'll help him out of loyalty to his predecessor and leave it at that." But then they started talking and Chisame . . . realized she wasn't as uncomfortable or depressed as she'd expected to be. She really kind of expected to be hurt and on the verge of tears the whole time. But instead it was just . . . talking to Near! Even if he wasn't the same Near and didn't remember her or camp or anything. It didn't hurt the way she thought it would. It was more like forming a whole new relationship with the added boost of Chisame actually liking the person, WHICH IS RARE because Chisame is a loner and tsundere and all. XD It's weird for her because he's not the Near she remembers, but he is Near. The speech patterns and mental issues and all that are the same, even if his past is not. So she can't just--give him info and be done with it. She does want to be his friend again and just . . . be around him, because it feels good to be around Near again, especially when he's quietly encouraging of it, which topped her a lot. ;o;

So CHISAME WOULD DO BASICALLY ANYTHING FOR NEAR, because she loves him |D Even if that wasn't this Near it's still there. In a weird way she's looking forward to getting to know him again, especially now that she's better at it (when she met Mello and Near in camp she was taken from volume 5 of Negima, and now she's from like, volume 25 or so, and has developed A LOT socially in that time). And in a quiet way she feels like the fear that's been with her for two years, that "Mello and Near will come back and not remember me and will hate me," has finally been lifted off her shoulders. So she's just very relieved :( And glad that she has the chance to know him all over again.
